“An extraordinarily accomplished debut, then, by a band with something to say.”

“A daring new take on Venezuelan music by a collective of London musicians… re-arranged and jazzified… with an evocative, edgy sound.”

Jose Luis, Latino Life

Alakati is a group of five London musicians that explores the meeting of Cypriot traditional music, jazz and Brazilian music. Led by Cypriot guitarist Iakovos Loukas, Alakati creates original music that combines those styles, as well as reimagining folk songs.

The Dalston Gypsy Jazz Trio was born in a bar in East London, nurtured lovingly in rehearsal spaces and raised on the road from stage to stage across Europe.

The Greg Gottlieb SEXtet brings together songs and stories collected across Europe, forged in the multicultural hearth of East London, with the glorious musical sunshine of Greg’s homeland – Meanjin (Brisbane), Australia.
