Workshops & Lecturing
My love for music education sparked to life in 2006, when I formed part of the team that launched Talkin’ Jazz – the Brisbane Jazz Club’s workshop series for young musicians – which is still going strong almost twenty years later!
Since then, I have worked in various contexts as a music educator, including directing jazz ensemble classes, implementing a musicianship summer school programme, and creating and leading a portfolio of university-funded short courses (aimed at community outreach and recruiting new students) for Middlesex University’s BA Jazz programme, and have lectured in jazz history at London’s Morley College.
